This Cookie Policy explains how Bookazoid (“Bookazoid”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, signup flows, web application, and related services.

This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your browser or device. Similar technologies may include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, scripts, and device or browser identifiers.

We use these technologies to operate and secure Bookazoid, remember settings, understand use of the website, and measure marketing where permitted.

2. Where we use cookies

Bookazoid has two main environments:

  • Public website and signup flows: may use necessary cookies and, with appropriate consent where required, analytics and advertising technologies.
  • Signed-in Bookazoid application: uses cookies and storage needed for authentication, security, sessions, preferences, and product functionality. If you choose Sign in with Google, Google’s identity service is also involved in the authentication flow.

We do not intentionally use Guest Data, booking contents, invoice contents, or other Customer Data from inside the signed-in application for advertising targeting.

3. Categories of cookies and similar technologies

3.1 Strictly necessary

These technologies are required to provide or secure the website or application. They may be used for:

  • login and authentication;
  • session management;
  • security and fraud prevention;
  • CSRF and form protection;
  • remembering consent choices;
  • secure access to the application; and
  • other functionality that cannot reasonably be provided without storing or reading information on your device.

Strictly necessary technologies do not require consent where applicable law provides an exemption for technologies necessary to provide a requested service. Blocking them in your browser may prevent Bookazoid from working correctly.

3.2 Third-party authentication

Bookazoid offers Sign in with Google as an optional authentication method. When you choose it, your browser communicates with Google’s identity services so Google can authenticate your account and return the authentication result to Bookazoid.

Google may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for its authentication and security processes and handles information under its own privacy practices. Bookazoid does not use Google authentication cookies for advertising purposes.

3.3 Functional

Functional technologies may remember non-essential preferences such as language, interface settings, or other choices. Where applicable law requires consent for these technologies, we request it before use.

3.4 Analytics

Analytics technologies help us understand website traffic, campaign sources, signup conversions, page performance, and product or website usage. We may use Google Analytics or similar services.

Where consent is required, analytics technologies are disabled until you consent.

3.5 Advertising and campaign measurement

Advertising technologies may be used on the public website and marketing or signup flows to measure Google Ads conversions, attribute signups to campaigns, limit or improve advertising, and, if enabled, support remarketing.

Where consent is required, advertising technologies are disabled until you consent.

4. Google services

Where enabled, we may use services provided by Google, including Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion measurement, Google Tag Manager, and related advertising technologies.

Google may receive information such as cookie or device identifiers, browser and device information, page visits, referral or campaign information, and conversion events, depending on the configuration and your consent choices.

We do not intentionally send Guest Data, booking records, invoice contents, or operational Customer Data from inside the signed-in Bookazoid application to Google for advertising targeting.

You can learn more about Google’s use of cookies and advertising technologies at:

5. Google Consent Mode

Where Google tags are used, we may use Google Consent Mode or a similar mechanism so that Google services respond to your consent choices.

Depending on our configuration, consent controls may include analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization.

Consent Mode does not replace the need to obtain consent where applicable law requires it.

7. Your choices

7.1 Cookie settings

Where a consent interface is shown, you can accept or reject non-essential categories and change your choices later using the Cookie settings control in the website footer.

Rejecting non-essential cookies does not prevent access to the public website or the core Bookazoid application, although some optional features or measurement may be unavailable.

7.2 Browser settings

You can also delete or block cookies through your browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent login, secure form submission, or other core functions.

7.3 Withdrawal of consent

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw or change that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.

8. UK, EEA, Switzerland, and other consent-based regimes

Where applicable law requires consent before storing or accessing non-essential information on a device, Bookazoid requests that consent before enabling non-essential analytics or advertising technologies.

Necessary technologies are used only to the extent permitted without consent under applicable law.

9. U.S. privacy choices

Certain U.S. state laws may provide a right to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing of personal information where those laws apply.

We do not sell personal information for money. Where our use of advertising technologies is treated as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable law, eligible users may use our cookie controls or other available opt-out mechanisms.

10. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our technologies, providers, consent practices, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date shows when this Policy was most recently revised.
