The story behind

Hi, I’m Igor, founder of Bookazoid.
It started in 2022, when a local short-term rental agency approached us to build a custom property management app. What began as a targeted solution quickly grew into something much bigger — a Swiss-army-knife platform covering most of the agency’s operational and marketing needs.
From booking creation to issue management, from call tracking to demand monitoring, we built a single system that owners, operations teams, and sales staff could rely on for their day-to-day work.
This didn’t happen quickly or easily.
Over two years, we spent countless hours inside the agency’s offices, watching operations in real time: switching between windows, answering phone calls mid-task, processing bookings on the fly, handling unhappy guests and frustrated administrators. We saw the real pain behind the scenes: incomplete documents in different formats on different devices, fragmented communication, instructions scattered across tools, and critical information scribbled on easily lost post-it notes.
That kind of chaos can’t be “fixed with AI overnight.”
What we observed shaped the core values of the app: scalability, transparency, and simplicity.
- Scalability means deep customization and the freedom to build new features precisely where the business needs them. Different tax laws, property parameters, guest policies — all handled without workarounds.
- Transparency means full auditability across the entire system. Every action, every entity, every CRUD operation is logged, traceable, and ready for analysis whenever needed.
- Simplicity was the guiding principle throughout. No over-engineering. No features added just to look good in marketing materials. Operations teams loved the app because everyday tasks became faster, clearer, and centralized in one place.
The app continued to evolve as new ideas emerged and new challenges appeared. By February 2025, it was actively servicing ten legal entities, managing 200+ properties across 70+ cities in multiple countries, and processing dozens of operational issues every day.
That’s when we decided to turn it into a SaaS.
We named it Bookazoid to reflect the idea of a living system — one that adapts, responds, and evolves as your business grows. (And yes, it has “Book” in the name for a reason.)
Now that the core functionality is in place, we’re opening Bookazoid to Early Adopters.
If you’re dealing with operational bottlenecks, reporting blind spots, or workflows that don’t quite fit your reality, we’d love to build with you. Help shape Bookazoid around your real-world needs — and in return, you’ll get a deeply committed platform at a fraction of the cost of traditional enterprise solutions.
No nonsense. No AI hype. Built by operators, for operators. If you share those values, help us build the app you’ve always wanted.
